Learning Disabilities Consultant
Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultants (LDTC) work with students who are experiencing academic difficulty or who have diagnosed learning challenges. They identify learning styles, administer, analyze and interpret tests, review other pertinent information, and prescribe specific, appropriate, and practical learning strategies. They may also help in the areas of time management, organization, and study skills.
LDTC’s work with regular education and special education teachers providing information, strategies and suggestions. They provide information to teachers on alternate learning styles and appropriate teaching modifications and strategies. They may also be a part of Pupil Assistance Committee (PAC) meetings, Child Study Team, and monitor IEP’s.
