Talent Development (Gifted and Talented Education)

Ongoing MLISD programs include the Mason-Lake Oceana Mathematics and Science Center (http:msc.wscc.net), Math Counts, Young Authors and Illustrators, Quiz Bowl, and Midwest Talent Search.  Local districts within MLISD are in consortium for those programs and others.  Each district also supports local programming, which varies by district. 

The MLISD Consultant for Gifted Education is Marsha Barter.  Her background includes an M.A. in Gifted Education, experience as a teacher and coordinator of gifted programs, and 15 years as the MLISD consultant.  Contact her at 757-3716, ext. 110 .
